In a new experiment on the International Space Station, both young and old mice are being studied to determine the effect that space travel has on aging. Signs of aging previously reported include decreased bone density, cardiovascular issues, and loss of skeletal muscle. This study aims to compare inbred mice provided by Taconic Biosciences at two different ages to study the activity levels and aging-related symptoms in both cohorts:
