| Albany, New York Taconic maintains several biotechnology service facilities in Albany, New York. The Albany lab facilities are equipped to perform genotyping, SNP analysis, and molecular assays for genetically engineered models. Experienced surgeons perform a range of surgical procedures and tissue collections on commercial and contract animals. Production of humanized immune system mice occurs at this site. Microbiome-related products and services are housed in Albany. Using this advanced technology, our Germantown site produces mice and rats at the Murine Pathogen Free™ (MPF™), Opportunist Free (OF), Defined Flora (DF), and Germ Free (GF) health standards for distribution to researchers worldwide.
