Body Weight

Rationale

Basic morphometric parameters, such as body weight, are informative in evaluating the overall effect of a genetic manipulation or a compound on the development of the entire organism. In addition, this parameter may provide supporting information valuable for the assessment of specific pathological states.

Method:

Body weights were taken weekly starting at 7 weeks of age until the end of the study. The mice were singly housed, on a light:dark cycle (6 am: 8 pm) with food and water available ad libitum. The mice were fed a high fat diet, 60% fat (RD 12492).
